Intellectual property
The whole site (texts, interface, globe, code) belongs to TTINOV unless stated otherwise. Any reproduction without prior written permission is prohibited. Third-party data: population figures from the World Bank (CC BY 4.0 license), Natural Earth base map (public domain), geolocation provided by Cloudflare.
Personal data
The data controller is TTINOV. To work, the site processes your IP address; here is what it does with it.
- Your IP address is only shown to you. It is neither stored, nor logged, nor shown to other visitors. If you browse over IPv6, your browser also asks Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 service, our host, for your IPv4 address, to display it.
- Your provider and estimated city, supplied by Cloudflare, are only shown to you, like your address: neither stored nor shown to other visitors.
- Your location comes from Cloudflare's geolocation. While you are connected, other visitors see your country, your region (never the city) and a dot rounded to about 50 km.
- The ranking counts one point per day and per address. To do so, the site keeps a fingerprint of your address until midnight UTC, computed with a secret key kept separately. Cloudflare's backups may keep it for up to 30 days; without the key, it cannot be traced back to the address.
- The replay keeps visitor arrivals (country, region, rounded location, time) for 24 hours, without address or fingerprint. Counters, records and unlocked countries contain no personal data.
- The chat has no free text. Ready-made phrases and reactions are never written to the database: they stay in memory while their author is connected.
- Cloudflare's bot check, Turnstile, examines your IP address and browser as soon as you arrive, to tell humans from bots (its privacy notice).
Purposes: running the live globe, the ranking and the chat, and keeping bots and abuse out. Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Recipient: Cloudflare, the host, which may process this data in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The site itself sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no audience measurement or advertising tools.
For any question or to exercise your rights (access, erasure, objection), write to thibaut@tresse.pro. Since the site does not keep your address, it generally cannot find anything about you. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
